Hemimorphite and Cerussite ex Halpern.

Intense, saturated, electric blue color makes the best of these African hemimorphites among the most beautiful examples of their species. This is from a single large find found about 10 years ago, probably around 2013-15, and has remained notable since - and not repeated. The color is literally shocking, to see in person, and looks wet and sparkling at all times. A very very few of these, such as this piece, has small, sharp white cerussite crystals sitting upon the blue, a remarkable contrast that is perhaps unique in the world. This is one of the best in size class, as I recall Jack buying it from me when the material came out (and we had most of it at the time, from a large financing deal in Africa), on a road trip before it hit the public market at a Tucson show. This has always been one of the better small cabinet specimens, and is now released from the Jack Halpern collection. Valued $4000-4500.
