Hemimorphite

Item Description

A very aesthetic hemimorphite from Santa Eulalia. Two, intergrown, compound, parallel-growth, bladed crystals form striking spearpoints. The luster and glassiness are first-class and the preferential included hematite really adds pazzazz. The stepped-growth fronts of the parallel-growth blades are noteworthy. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine, with only a trivial bit of bruising just below the large crystal termination. A noteworthy find, as even the orebody and mine level are known. Classic and most excellent Santa Eulalia hemimorphite from the Potosi Mine. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
