Hemimorphite

Item Description

A striking, sculptural, "hole-in-the-wall" vug lined with wonderful blue, botryoidal hemimorphite from recent Chinese finds. This is very close to the "electric blue" ones that have been the most popular (though hard to get) of them. It is lustrous - a smithsonite-like luster - and actually slightly translucent. The back has been sawed to enhance the display quality. A very aesthetic specimen from this find.
