Item Description
A rather attractive specimen of this distinctive Hemimorphite from the 79 Mine in Arizona. It doesn't feel like that long ago that there was a decent amount of material from this mine on the market, and now it's almost all dried up. This piece features a good coverage of beautiful, soft silvery-blue colored "balls" of Hemimorphite measuring up to about 9 mm across, sitting on oxidized matrix. You can see TINY orange Wulfenite crystals on the Hemimorphite "balls", rarely seen from this and most other localities. The light blue color is due to minor copper content in the Hemimorphite. No damage on the front/display side and I love the composition, as it's such a showy and aesthetic piece. If you collect Hemimorphites, Arizona minerals or secondary ore minerals, this is a good one from this well-known mine.
