Item Description
A lovely example of these uncommon Hemimorphites from the Skorpion Mine in Namibia. This locality is best known for its beautiful Tarbuttites and Skorpionites, but the Hemimorphites (which I'm told get their blue color from minor copper content) are certainly eye-catching. This piece is filled with radiating aggregates of gemmy, light blue colored Hemimorphite on the top/display side which grade into more of a silvery hue on the back (lack of copper content in the crystals causes them to be less colorful). Overall the piece is in good shape, no major damage outside of the periphery where the piece was separated from the pocket wall
