Item Description

Some of the most iconic Rutile / Hematite specimens in the world are those from Novo Horizonte. This piece is a wonderful example of the 2008 find featuring golden-bronze colored Rutile crystals epitaxially flaring off a silvery Hematite center forming a beautiful six-pointed "star". No damage, and very attractive from both sides. A superb classic example of these wonderful specimens from Brazil. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12233). Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics. She nearly lived 100 years from April 1920 - March 2020.
