Here is a captivating, exceptionally three-dimensional Quartz-Hematite piece from Jinlong Hill, now a classic Chinese occurrence for this combination. Incredibly glassy and transparent Quartz crystals radiate from the entire length of this elongate piece and are from 0.5 to 2.7 cm in length. These gorgeous Quartz crystals are in turn beautifully accented by rather large rosettes of gray-black, somewhat silvery Hematite blades that are tightly aggregated to form these rosettes that are 0.5 to 2.7 cm across. This is a very fine combo specimen featuring differing colors and textures, way beyond the normal quality expected of material from this still-producing locale. For the size, it is among the best of its type I have seen for three-dimensional balance and aesthetics, and the absolute gemminess of the Quartz crystals. Old material from the early 2000s....
