Item Description

Blindingly lustrous, classic example of Hematite from the Wessels Mine with jet black color. Rather than the more dodec-type habit, the crystals here are mirror-brilliant scalenohedrons up to 2.6 cm long, the most rare habit! They are associated with Calcite and minor Andradite Garnets. Superb aesthetics and rare habit make this a stunning large thumbnail specimen. Value d$1000.
