Hematites from Wessels are renowned for their luster and overall aesthetics. This fine miniature, which has very good luster, has an unusual habit that is basically an elongated scalenohedron similar to the habit so common to Sapphires. There is a small amount of associated Andradite Garnets, and one termination is perfect (the other incomplete). An interesting and complex crystal.
