Classic splendent hematite "iron roses" accented with wine-red rutile crystals are aesthetically set on the side of a dramatic sharply terminated quartz crystal "ice mountain" with striking stepped-growth faces. Complete all-around and pristine. This is an outstanding old-time combination from the Willy Hirsch and Dr. Francesco Bedogne # 192 Collections. Dr. Bedogne, 1942-2012, was a well-known Italian mineralogist, prolific author, field collector and collector.
