Item Description
Swiss Hematites are about as classic as Alpine minerals get. This attractive thumbnail specimen from Cavradi features a few razor sharp, highly splendent, metallic silvery-black color tabular hexagonal crystals. Some light but defined striations along with the nearly mirror bright luster on the crystal faces make this a very desirable and worthwhile little thumbnail for any collection. I don't have you tell you that Swiss Alpine minerals are always valued higher than their Italian, French or Austrian counterparts, but when one sees how fine the quality of the Hematites can be from this area, it is easy to see why the Swiss take so much pride in their minerals.
