Item Description
A classic and really showy display piece of this well-known material from this historic mining district in England. This piece is a textbook example of what is known as "Kidney Ore", featuring lovely and very well-formed classic agglomerations of mammillary aggregates, with that deep reddish-black metallic hue. It's a wonderful piece of these beloved Hematites, and definitely worth picking up if you collect UK / English minerals or worldwide Hematites. These are not nearly as easy to find on the market today as they were years ago, especially in such good condition with excellent displayability. No damage on the top / display side of the piece.
