Item Description
An excellent toenail, composed of a crystal of a 2 cm Hematite that has excellent form and superb luster. This central crystal is accented by numerous smaller Hematites comprising the base and many sparkly micro Andradites. There appears to be a twinning plane in the crystal, as evidenced by the very fine chevroned striations. This specimen transcends many of the already high quality for these Hematites. Its luster, sharpness of form, and overall display as a toenail with some pizzazz and accents, makes it a fine specimen as well as a classic for the locality. One of the best in class I have seen from Wessels.
