Item Description
Densely intergrown, hematite-tinted, flattened nailhead calcite rhombs form a sculptural small cabinet from this French Early Jurassic limestone quarry. The lustrous, translucent rhombs reach 1.5 cm. The noted bruising has minimal impact to the quality and rarity of this piece. Specimens from this quarry are very uncommon. Rare, high quality calcite from the Paul Zerfass Collection # 947.
