Item Description

A large Egremont combination classic. Lustrous, transparent, elongated, calcite prisms, to 3.7 cm, with nailhead terminations are beautifully and classically tinted red with iron oxide inclusions on this on this showy and excellent, large old-time plate from the Bob Trimingham Collection. The rich jackstraw crystal coverage obscures the underlying hematite matrix. The interior is pristine and the noted periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction to this excellent and rich large example. It displays well from either side. Value? We believe in the $750-900 range is quite fair for a piece of this size and richness.
