This small Chinese mine has certainly produced among the world's and China's most unusual sharp calcite specimens in the modern era, starting around 1998. Dramatically distinctive, the striking mounded small cabinet pincushion is studded with innumerable sharp pretty hematite-tinted calcite spikes and highlighted by a few highly desirable and classic sharp V-twins. The largest calcite spike, at 2.0 cm, is part of a V-twin. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only trivial edge wear. Ex Dr. Steve Smale Collection.
