Hematite-tinted Calcite on Fluorite (new finds)

Item Description

Impressive highly sculptural large combination from recent finds at this complex epithermal antimonry-gold deposit, that has produced a wide variety of mineral species. The striking large knob of intergrown, lustrous, translucent, fluorite cubes, to 2.2 cm, with frosted stepped-growth faces is dramatically partially cloaked along with the fluorite matrix with stunning preferentially iron-oxide tinted dogtooth calcite crystals, to 2.0 cm. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a bit of minimally detracting basal periphery wear. Modest fluorite fluorescence. A surreal, colorful and rare large 360-degree combination from the locale.
