Item Description

Specimens from this much less well-known Ouray County, Colorado locality are rare and are seldom on the market. Aesthetic stacked starbursts of brown, dogtooth calcite scalenohedrons form a sculptural and excellent specimen. The only broken tooth is visible and noted, but is certainly only a modest detraction. Fine material for the locality or species collector. Ex George Fisher Collection, a noted Colorado specialist.
