Item Description
This is an important miniature for what it is, featuring a hematite with really complex crystallization, perched on matrix, and from an old find of the late 1960s or early 1970s. We almost never see one of these for sale anyways, and here is a complete crystal, 3.5 cm (1.5 inches) across, perched on matrix! They have shocking form and symmetry, which remains unique to this day. Most we see are partials, hacked off matrix and heavily damaged - whereas this is a balanced miniature that is complete all around except for a few trivial dings. A significant Brazilian classic, ex Richard Rossi collection. valued $1200-1500.
