Item Description
Here we have a rather hard to find specimen from a tiny pocket at an obscure Chinese locality, found in 2018 at Sijiang. They are different from any other Hematites I can recall from any other Chinese locality. This small sized piece is filled with sharp, well-formed, hexagonal bladed crystals of dark silvery-black Hematite measuring up to 5 mm across, sitting on very minor matrix. Some of the crystals have an almost "frosted" luster on one side, while the opposing sides of the crystals are quite lustrous/splendent. Very little damage, and it looks wonderful in person. The combination of the well-formed crystals and beautiful arrangement make it a must have specimen for any fan of Hematite, Chinese minerals or worldwide oxides.
