Item Description
Isolated hematite specimens are VERY RARE from this locale, famed for hedenbergite-included quartz "prases". This very aesthetic cluter of bladed rosettes resembles an animal head with strikingly different sized "ears"! The presentation face is pristine. That"s a bit of quartz on the left "ear", not damage. The contact on the back is nearly out of sight. Rare, highly unusual and outstanding hematite from this locale. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection.
