Hematite ps. Marcasite

Item Description

A fascinating stellate hematite after marcasite floater specimen from the remote White Desert of Egypt. This is an extremely fine, lustrous, burnished chocolate-brown crystal with knobby bladed spearpoints to 3.0 cm. This outstanding pseudomorph is complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only one broken blade in the middle. The bottom shows the center is hollow! These were dug up by Parisian dealer Alain Carion and his son a number of years ago, with none since.
