Item Description
One of the most unusual and showy large Crystal Peak hematite pseudos you will ever see. Two sides show the striking, vuggy boxwork are filled with lustrous, metallic-gray to rust-red hematite pseudomorphs after siderite disks. The matrix, itself, is hematite pseudomorphing a LARGE siderite rhomb! Ex Bob Trimingham Collection from the Robert Chadbourne Collection and apparently came from well-known Colorado Springs dealer Lazard Cahn (died 1940). RARE, old-time and desirable Colorado material. A must for the locality collector.
