Item Description

A VERY RARE and impresssive large pseudomorph combination from the famous mines at Dalnegorsk. Hematite has replaced a striking, extremely large blocky, tapered, parallel-growth, terminated Ilvaite crystal. The 360-degree pseudo is sheathed in tiny, sparkly, gemmy, rust-brown siderite rhombs. Preferential overgrowths of botryoidal, grayish-green hematite or goethite accented with clusters of fluorescent flattened calcite rhombs are dramatic accessories to this very rare combination. Ex Charles Noll Collection # 3916, a prominent Wisconsin collector, who passed away in 2014. A fascinating rare combination must for the locality or pseudomorph collector.
