Item Description

PLEASE NOTE: This piece is labeled as coming from near the Parker Dam in Arizona, and is almost certainly from the Big Bertha Mine. Highly splendent / metallic, incredibly lustrous, tabular blades of silvery-grey Hematite measuring up to 9 mm sit atop a matrix of white / colorless Quartz. Good quality, and very attractive up close. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6549). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
