Item Description

Moroccan geodes, Quartz or Calcite, are known for their interesting specimens when combined with iron oxide species such as hematite or goethite. This geode is lined with well-formed Calcite crystals in the 5-8 mm range, and they are associated with lustrous, complex Hematite crystals that are 5-6 mm. Better in person, as it is hard to photo inside the pocket. These crystals are sharp! These specimens have a distinct look, and the habits of these particular Hematites are a nice contrast to the needle-like habits that you often see.
