Item Description

A striking and very unusually formed two-sided, hematite kidney ore specimen from the famous Florence Mine. The front is composed of large, globular, very irregularly shaped, lustrous, mottled rust-red, hematite botryoids. The back is distinctively different, being classic, bubbly, botryoidal, lustrous, rust-red hematite. Classic, yet very uncommon two-sided material recovered in the early 1970s mining operations. Ex Ralph Sutcliffe Collection, noted English collector and dealer. Valued at $750 for unique character.
