Item Description

Mineral specimens from this Upper Peninsula large extinct (1914-1961) underground iron mine are rare. This is a classic large moderately lustrous nodule of banded hematite kidney ore. It resembles a classic English kidney ore piece, but it's not. Very rare on the market. Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection. 923 grams or 2 pounds.
