Old-time, showy hematite kidney ore from the famous iron mines of Egremont. The banded, rust-red, mounded botryoids have excellent architecture. Very interestingly, part of the botryoids are very smooth, with high luster and part have a nubby, moderately lustrous texture. Sturdy, hefty for the size and classic iron ore.
