Item Description
Superlatively lustrous hematite "kidney ore" botryoids are aesthetically stacked atop the banded hematite matrix on this very showy example from these historic mines at Lavrion. Hematite is rare from the Plaka Mines and this is an outstanding and rare style example, even if the botryoids have probably been lightly buffed. Undoubtably older material, but no proof. Ex Paterson Museum Collection.
