Item Description

A showy example of botryoidal Hematite Kidney Ore from this well-known Cumbria iron mine. The lustere, slight reddish color and distinctive form are characteristic of this classic Hematite. Probably from late 1960s to early 1970s mining operations. These are some of the most iconic Hematites in the world, and this paricular piece would make a great addition to any suite of minerals from Cumbria or worldwide Hematites. Valued at $750 in the inventory.
