Item Description

Mineral specimens from this abandoned ophite quarry, mined for road metal and railway ballast, are very uncommon. Two clusters of splendent, metallic hematite iron roses are attractively set on matrix with calcite and quartz. A fine and rare combination self-collected by Paco Gutierrez.
