Item Description
A classic, stout, 4.5 x 3.2 x 2.3 cm, splendent, metallic-gray, bladed, "iron rose" is dramatically set at the top of the granite matrix. This is a large and impressive eisenrose for the locale, as they call it there. The composition of this piece is most striking, as the bottom of the piece (actually another vug) hosts very glassy, translucent, intergrown sharp adularia crystals to approx 2 cm. The fine rose has classic form and is very fat. It is nto quite perfect: contacting on one right edge is a minimal visual detraction when displayed at any but the optimal angle, but then again that is why this is not $7500-10k, as well, which it might be if perfect. Choice and classic old material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this excellent piece at $1200, five or more years ago when he had last priced it.
