Item Description

Classic parallel-growth, hexagonal Hematite blades make a wonderful and sculptural two-sided non-Alpine "iron rose" from Ouro Preto, Brazil, source of the famed "Imperial" Topaz crystals. The blades have excellent, splendent, metallic silvery-grey faces forming the classic "rose" shape that makes these specimens so desirable. This excellent, older piece is complete all-around and pristine. Few of such form come out, in good condition, and most date to the 1960s or 1970s. This is an excellent example and compares very favorably with the style of European Alpine pieces.
