Item Description
A unique specimen of globular Hematite / Iron nodules from the Yellowstone River in southeastern Montana. The largest individual "ball" measures about 4.0 cm across. The piece has a rusty appearance on the exterior, due to oxidation. I can't remember seeing another piece quite like this, and it's certainly a unique esoteric locality piece for anybody interested in unusual mineral specimens. From the collection of Jack Arbiser.
