Hematite-included calcite from the circa 2005 find at Santa Eulalia is a classic. The sculptural pair of "rabbit-ears" calcites are composed of sharp, lustrous, and translucent, dogtooth calcite crystals partially coated with hematite and have striking, clay-stained, internal, hematite phantoms. Secondary and tertiary calcite overgrowths add pizzazz to this 360-degree piece. Nearly pristine, with ony gentle bruising to the terminations. An impressive piece from the Art Soregaroli Collection.
