Glassy, transparent, stubby calcite scalenohedrons, strikingly accented by the brick-red, hematite-included area totally cover the mounded matrix on this large, aesthetic and showy old-timer from the famous iron mines of Frizington. The multitude of crystals are in super shape. One spot of periphery wear is noted and the contact on the back is out-of-sight in the preferred display view.
