Item Description
A dramatic, very attractive, CABINET calcite specimen from recent finds, about 2005, at Santa Eulalia, Mexico. Sharp, lustrous, and translucent, dogtooth calcite crystals are partially coated with hematite and have striking, clay-stained, internal, hematite phantoms. Crystals reach 7.1 cm on this piece. The teeth in the center are certainly spectacular. The calcites are essentially pristine, with only the left large tooth at the top having a hard-to-see gentle termination cleave. This is definitely one the finest large examples of this style we have offered at auction.
