Hematite-included Calcite

Item Description

This is the most aesthetic and sculptural, small cabinet of this style of hematite-included calcite from the circa 2005 find at Santa Eulalia, that we have offered at auction. The attractive "rabbit-ears" calcites are composed of sharp, lustrous, and translucent, dogtooth calcite crystals partially coated with hematite and have striking, clay-stained, internal, hematite phantoms. The calcites are pristine in the display view, except for one very trivial edge bruise. An impressive piece.
