Hematite-included Calcite

Item Description

A dramatic, very attractive CABINET calcite specimen from recent finds at Santa Eulalia, Mexico. Sharp, lustrous, and translucent, calcite rhombs are included with hematite on a mounded matrix covered with an earlier generation of smaller crystals. Crystals reach 3.8 cm on this piece. The calcites are in great shape, and minor periphery wear has minimal impact on this impressive large piece. Complete all-around and eminently displayable from many views.
