Item Description

This locality dates back to the times of the Etruscans, and is one of the great classic European localities. The Hematites from Elba are some of the most unique and distinctive Hematites in the world. This specimen is a comprised of numerous sharp, complex, and lustrous crystals with an excellent iridescence. The largest crystal is about 3 cm. This was acquired in 1791 by Sir Robert Ferguson (1769-1840), and his original label is included! A great representation of the species from this locality.
