Item Description
Mexico is not especially noted for fine hematite specimens for all of its mineral treasures. This appears to be a fine exception. The splendent plate has startlingly different stepped-growth patterns on each side. This must have been a significant find from this very obscure locale, as even the mine level is known. It reminds me of a fine Cavadi specimen. Ex Dave Stoudt Collection. Valued at $250.
