Hematite (ex Josef Vajdak)

Item Description

An interesting and fairly hard to find specimen of what I would call "kidney ore" Hematite featuring somewhat reniform agglomerations in a stacked / layered growth with some pseudo crystallized areas that might just be masses of Hematite disguised as rhombic forms. I've seen specimens of "Specularite" Hematite from Pribram, but never anything quite like this. It's certainly old, as it has a very attractive antique appearance. A hard to find specimen of this classic material and comes with a great label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value.
