Item Description
An impressive, large, hematite-coated, bumpy, calcite scalenohedron with a rare flat C-termination from this famous and extinct uranium mine. The sharp tapered, five-sided crystal has one unusual notched edge. The Faraday Mine is known to have produced such strange calcites, probably in the late 1950s to early 1960s and this is a good one. Ex Eugene Carmichael Collection. Seldom on the market in this quality.
