Hematite

Item Description

A cluster of thick, tabular Hematite crystals from old finds at this locality dating back to the 1960s. Brilliant, gunmetal, gray-silver metallic crystals to 3.5 cm across comprise this piece with most crystals displaying, subtle, triangular growth features on the major crystal faces which is especially noticeable on the large crystal. There are nine Hematite crystals in this cluster and they are all quite robust in their dimensions and the piece is quite hefty. The bottom of the piece is completely flat from where it was cleanly removed from the pocket. Minor rubbing on some of the edges of the crystals and a little contacting at the periphery.
