Hematite

Item Description

Some of the world's finest Hematite specimens are found at the Wessels Mine. This wonderful thumbnail features a scalenohedron of Hematite with very sharp, metallic, highly lustrous / splendent metallic faces and the classic steel-black color. The piece is in good shape, but it's not 100% complete as there are few "rubs" on the sides. The luster is as fine as any Hematite in the world, you simply don't see Hematite that looks this brilliant in person.
