Item Description
Splendent, large, grayish-brown hematite specimen of classic style for the old English locales from the 1800s. But it is from Morocco. It is more lustrous than most of the English hematites (even accounting for the fact that, as with all of these, one must assume they are lightly buffed in any case). The striking piece is unusually divided into clusters of the brilliant botryoids and weird scalloped botryoids making for a stunning specimen. Wonderful new material to the market, we found last year! If this WERE English, and it would be easy to simply "say it was so," the price should be over $1000. Hefty at 2.6 pounds or 1.2 kilos
