A classic example of these well-known Hematites. Various localities in the Kalahari Manganese Field have produced some of the finest crystallized Hematites in history, with larger than average crystals showing superb, smooth, well-formed, metallic faces. This piece is a beautiful solid group of Hematite, free of matrix, showing a mixture of incredibly brilliant / splendent, metallic silvery colored faces, along with crystalline areas on the lower portion. The piece is in good condition, especially on the upper portion, as the faces are beautifully well-formed and mostly undamaged, though small imperfections can be seen in areas. You don't see Hematite like from almost anywhere else in the world, and if you're a fan of metallic minerals or oxides, this is something different and cool from this famous locality.
