Item Description
Mirror-bright dark gray pseudo-cubic Hematite with interesting slight edge modifications and subtle striated faces are aesthetically stacked on this sculptural miniature from an unknown locale. The impressive, dominating cube at the crest is 2.2 x 1.8 cm. Sharp cubes, such as this, are relatively rare from Minas Gerais. Most crystallized hematite from here is either classic "iron roses" or cuboctahedrons. A choice and uncommon example of the cubic hematite crystal habit.
