Helvine in Quartz w/ Calcite & Arsenopyrite

UNIQUE and dramatic large two-sided combination from 2019-2020 finds at the famous Yaogangxian Mine. Bright yellow microcrystals of Helvine, a rare Be-Mn-silicate with sulfide are clearly visible in the terminations and along the edges above the interior phantoms of the stout, gemmy to translucent, stepped-growth quartz crystals, to 7.5 cm. The field of quartz crystals is strikingly accented with lustrous, gray metallic Arsenopyrite crystals and crystal sections, to 3.7 cm. Snow-white clusters of thin paper Calcite disks preferentially cover part of the impressive front of the piece and richly cover the back of the piece. Pink calcite fluorescence. Overall the piece is in outstanding shape. The 6.1 cm quartz crystal on the left front has a contacted prism face, where another crystal once lay, but has no damage, per se. The base has been sawed to enhance the display. A fascinating, RARE and sculptural large combination from the noted locale.
